THE PAST:- Manju, a beautiful girl past her graduation, moves to the city, where her future is going to unfold.. Sanjay, the handsome boy well settled in life and single, waiting for the love of his life and future to bring happiness and fulfillment. Love happens! Marriage follows with the blessings of eager parents,and they lived happily ever after,till the present.
THE PRESENT:- Manju and Sanjay were in a dilemma.A very serious affair as far as they are concerned, but a trivial one for any one else,to have a baby now or not. Married for just less than two years, they are a loving couple, full of life, living an enviable life in the city. Manju the devoted wife, is headstrong, independent and very smart, while her husband Sanjay is intelligent, good looking and very loving. Manju has firm ideas about life, that she wants to see the world before she settles down to motherhood. Sanjay is ready when his love is ready for take off. Everyone knows that, they are going to be excellent parents, and the child born to them, is going to be lucky,getting all the fine qualities of both the parents. But the foreign tour is the pause,before which the son/or daughter cannot be born..
THE FUTURE:- The flight is on time! Manju and Sanjay reach the airport fully loaded with their dreams of the exotic far away west. Hours of travel later.They are now in their suite enjoying each other's company,waiting for more enjoyment that Europe has to offer. The days fly off as if in a dream,visiting the culture and tasting the local cuisine,both are wrapped in each other and the places that they visit.Europe is in love with these two as much as them being in love with the place. The dream vacation is getting over and the dream is also getting fulfilled. The trip back is event less,both heady with the love, sights and food shared. Manju is today a little confused and calls up her husband. Sanjay is worried to listen to his wife, and her confusion. Decides to call up his mother and mother in law, before calling a doctor.Something seems to be amiss. The fully pregnant Manju is being wheeled to the Labour Room followed by the doting husband..the coterie of friends and family are waiting eagerly to hear the good news. The ring tone, for SMS,startles the otherwise quiet lobby. "YIPPEE! It is a girl!" comes the good news from inside the OT. Sanjay the proud father comes with the bundle of joy in his hands and shows it off to the waiting loved ones... Manju this time follows in a streatcher, beaming,her life having just got a new meaning,a new role, a new purpose, a new mother that she has become. I wish each one had a peek like this into their future, dilemmas will have a natural ending...
